VisIt developers use two different lists, visit-commits and visit-developers.

• Visit-commits:
  • Every time a commit is made, an email is sent describing the change.
  • The mailing list is "visit-commits at ornl dot gov".
  • You can only post to this list if you are a member.
  • To get added to this list, go to https://elist.ornl.gov/mailman/listinfo/visit-commits
    • Your request will be approved by a moderator.
  • visit-commits is archived and its posts go back to the very beginning of the VisIt project
• VisIt-developers:
  • The VisIt developers mailing list is "visit-developers at ornl dot gov".
  • You can only post to this list if you are a member.
  • To get added to this list, go to https://elist.ornl.gov/mailman/listinfo/visit-developers
    • This request does not require moderator approval.
  • visit-developers is archived and its posts go back to 2008, when the list was founded.
