If you would like an account to contribute to visitusers.org, please follow these steps:
- Create an account via the site registration menu in the upper part of the window. You will need to provide a user name and make up a password as well as answer a trivia question to improve the odds that you are not a bot.
- Follow the instructions in the confirmation email to activate your account.
- Once successfully created, your account will not be able to edit. It should convert to an account that may edit pages in 24 hours from creation.
- If you have any problems with activating your account or if it does not automatically get granted editing access, please contact the site administrator at accounts AT visitusers.org.
The "backup" procedure for obtaining an account is emailing your request to accounts AT visitusers.org or sending a request to the visit-users mailing list, or cyrush-AT-llnl.gov. The visitusers.org administrator will then create an account for you and email you the details for accessing the site through that account.

The procedure for many years has been the "Backup procedure" described here. After a recent software update, we are attempting to be more open since measures were put in place to discourage spam accounts and bots. If those things become a problem again, we may revise the procedure again to limit access.
